MOLD DESIGN · Diecasting Mold ENGINEERING RESOURCES
Define the finished component
Provide a 3D model and a dimensioned drawing with the current revision. Identify the assembly interfaces, critical dimensions, cosmetic surfaces and features that require machining.
State the material and production plan
Include the alloy specification, expected order quantity and annual volume. These inputs influence cavity count, tooling choices and the suitability of die casting for the component.
Agree the validation plan
Describe the required dimensional report, appearance approval and functional tests. Tooling acceptance is easier to review when the sample plan and criteria are clear before manufacturing begins.
