Assembly & Protective Packaging
OUR CAPABILITIES

Assembly & Protective Packaging

A finished casting is often one item in a larger production program. Discuss the inserts, fasteners, mating parts and packaging needed at the receiving line. We can review assembly and packing as part of the same quotation so the deliverable is defined before production starts.

  • Scope defined by an assembly drawing or bill of materials
  • Specified inserts, fasteners and secondary operations
  • Protection of cosmetic and machined surfaces
  • Labels, quantities and shipment documents agreed with the order
Discuss This Service
01

Define the assembly deliverable

Provide the current assembly drawing, bill of materials and responsibility for supplied components. Identify fastening requirements, orientation checks and any specified functional test. These details establish which operations can be included and what constitutes an accepted assembly.

02

Protect the important surfaces

Machined sealing faces, bearing fits, plated components and cosmetic surfaces may need different forms of protection. Define separation, wrapping or dedicated packing features against the risk of handling damage and the receiving process.

03

Agree labels and shipment requirements

Packing quantities, traceability labels, carton or pallet details and document requirements should be agreed with the order. A packaging sample or packing specification can provide a repeatable reference for later batches without assuming a single packing method suits every component.
